Shattered Worlds - All that was old, is new.

===PROLOGUE=============================

Three hundred years ago, there was a war. Well, war has broken out here plenty of times before, and our kind is certainly no stranger to conflict. But the echoes and shadows of this devastating struggle are still felt clearly today. The two hundred and seventy-four year long war embedded in our history as the Narubian war forever changed the two conflicting species, and left a permanent mark in our back yard for all to see. Though we didn't know it at the time, ignorant of all the miraculous sentient life in the further reaches of the Milky Way, Humanity once held the largest territory of any race ever to grace these stars.

Millions upon millions of lives were lost during these fateful three centuries, on both sides. The Narubians were driven to the brink of extinction, and we were stripped of all resources of war. There was no peace, no cease fire, there was just,...nothing left. Nothing left to throw at each other but stones. One final push to extinguish the Narubian race once and for all was met with an act of pure desperation. The enemy artificially ignited three suns across the Agememnon border, causing them to go super nova, implode and fuse, creating a monumental black hole, an impassable scar that now stretches across the galaxy, and separates our kinds.

Greatly weakened, the evil organisation that had sieged control of Humanity and all it's governance more than fifteen hundred years ago. The organisation that caused so much pain and suffering to alien and our own kind alike. The organisation forever branded the Allied Industrial Union came under fire by those seeking peace and freedom. Desiring lives free of tyranny, death sentences for even the most minor of crimes, planetary lock downs of 'lesser' aliens and slaves in every aspect of workmanship even the AIU's own senior members started to waver in their resolve.

In the year 3604, a traitor of the AIU, Jack Marachi, gathered together the first strands of an Alliance between Humans, Pirates, Machines and Aliens - including the Narubians – to launch a full scale assault on the most heavily defended location in the galaxy; The Solar System. Surgical strikes on the AIU's strongholds, the HIVE, NEST and Eden were successful. Most members of the AIU's leadership party – The Guild – were killed during the battle. Humanity was heavily shaken, but with the aid of allies such as the Heilios, and the leadership of Kari Izanami – a former Guild member – Humanity slowly returned to normal, starting a new era to right the wrongs of the past, and regaining its long lost freedom with it.

The year is now 3612, but unpredictable as Humankind is, so many have become unhappy with the changes that have rapidly occurred in the past few years. Holding on tightly to routine, those who were happy to get fat, fill their pockets without working, profiting off of illegal activities the AIU overlooked now eradicated, have begun to rebel. Close to half of all Humans across the galaxy seek to overthrow the new system, and return to routine they have come to know through dozens of generations of AIU indoctrination. Now with battle sparking unchecked across all of Human space, the newly founded Terran Alliance struggles with limited options. With little choice, the Alliance gets set for full scale war with the Union. We live here in the Milky Way, among the Shattered Worlds of our battles, but with the ghosts of the past, no matter how prominent ignored, will the brewing civil war consume as mush life as the Narubian war? Will Humanity consume itself in its own fires? Is our long history destined to end... here?
